Road Cycling

The unique beauty of the landscape, combined with the intense altitude changes, offer every cyclist a unique opportunity to exercise in the nature of Tzoumerka.

Depending on the type of cycling you prefer and your physical condition, and starting from Ramia, you can follow a variety of routes that will push you to the limits and offer you unique thrills.

If you have a road bike, starting from Ramia and heading north, you can reach the Waterfalls (16km, Altitude 1300m), Agnanta (18km) or Melissourgou (35km). If you are in very good shape, you can try to reach Syracos (51km), while it is also worth transporting the bike to a point by car, in order to cycle through the beautiful pass of Baros (63km from Ramia).

Towards the East, the route to Agios Georgios Kypselis (14km) will offer you interesting uphills, while if you continue to Vourgareli (37km) you will enjoy a unique route with breathtaking views.

Another wonderful route of about 30km, circular this time, starts from Ramia in the direction of Tzaris bridge, turns towards Makrykambos, passing by Arachthos, goes up to Kato Graikiko, Koukoulia, Ano Graikiko and returns to Ramia via Mikrospelia and Lepian.

Finally – although not last, since the options are really many – a route for the adventurous, especially at its end, starts from Ramia, reaches the bridge of Plaka, crosses the Arachthos opposite and climbs towards Platanoussa, continuing in the direction of Rodavgi , descends towards Tzaris Bridge and rises again towards Ramia. This last part is one of the most difficult climbs you can encounter. Do not attempt this unless you are well trained.
